My apologies for the delay in updating. Ironically, I had finished this site the week that Liam Clancy passed away, and haven't really added anything since then. In the meantime, I have redesigned and updated theballadeers.com, the original site for much of this Clancy & Makem information.
Since December I have gotten my hands on several missing Tradition releases, as well as the Holy Grail, the original 1956 release of the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem's first LP, The Rising on the Moon. According to Liam Clancy's book, "The Mountain of the Women", the original LP (of which about 200 copies were released) was deemed unsuitable and the same songs were re-recorded. The re-record is the only version (to my knowledge) re-issued.
